Subtitled "Routefinding with map and compass" this book is aimed at entrants in the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme. I found the book rather basic though perhaps its target audience would not. On the other hand the basics of navigation are well explained - why, for example, is it easier to get lost going downhill than up? Perhaps a thinner book for improving navigators is called for.
