The first part of the book describes the history and techniques of the mining in the Peak District. The section part presents a geographical breakdown of all the mining areas in the Peak. Greater use of photographs, some in colour, make this a more accessible read than its Lake District equivalent above. A collection of annotated walks allow you to go and see the many features still visible above ground today.
