Man recovers alligator being prepared for a demon to eat and consequently loses his job and gets involved with many colourful characters. The book is short and the language stylish. Unlike some of Aylett's earlier books the plot is relatively easy to penetrate and this provides a framework in which the strange, quickfire sentences can be enjoyed. Successful.
